The accession of Russia into the WTO will\u00a0<span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">cement the integration of the Russian Federation into the global economy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As a result of Russia\u2019s accession into the WTO, there will be a substantial amendment to the governmental fees payable to the Russian Patent and Trademark Office. Up until recently, Russian residents have had substantial discounts on official fees. As of August 22, 2012, Russian residents and non-residents will be required to pay\u00a0<span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">the same fees for inventions,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">utility models, and industrial designs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Accordingly, official fees for non-residents will significantly decrease up to two &#8211; three times for inventions, utility models, and industrial designs.
